Hey everyone, my name is Latasha Wood but my friends call me Tasha so you can too. I love being a mom. I’ve gotten many things wrong in my life but being a mom, choosing to be a surrogate, and choosing Eggceptional Fertility as my coordinating agency are among the things I know I got right.
My journey to surrogacy happened many years ago when I found out that infertility was a thing. In my naïve mind, I thought every woman could get pregnant at will. When I found out this was not always the case, my heart broke. My heart broke for all the mothers that desired to be a mom and couldn’t conceive or carry naturally. This hurt me thinking of the joy and fulfillment my kids brought me and wanting everyone who desired to experience this same joy. I wanted every woman and man who desired parenthood the opportunity to become a parent. I knew it wasn’t possible for me to help everyone, but I wanted to help someone.
It was May 2020 and covid was rampant, so my desire was put on hold. January 2023; I decided this was going to be the year I allowed God to use me to gift a family with parenthood. I gave birth to an amazing baby girl April 2024.
There is no way I would have made it through this journey without using Eggceptional Fertility. Samantha Roberson was my coordinator and an absolute Godsend. Samantha so easily became family. Surrogacy is a journey with ups and downs, but it is such a rewarding journey. Surrogacy is a process that comes with its own set of uncertainties. You need a agency that will understand your fears, anxieties, and joys. It didn’t matter what time of the day or night I called Samantha, she answered. Any questions I had, she immediately answered or found the answers for me. There is no company that I would have rather taken this journey with other than Eggceptional Fertility. To qualify for our program, you must meet the following criteria. Be between the ages of 21 and 42, have a BMI that does not exceed 33, maintain a clean criminal record, no smoking, and have successfully completed at least one pregnancy and delivery with little to no complications. Once you complete the initial information, you will be guided to our comprehensive application.

We will send you the profiles of our IP’s looking for a surrogate, and you tell us who you would like to meet based off of their parent questionnaire.
